As more Filipino families look for accessible ways to keep children active and engaged in sports, MILO Philippines is expanding the playing field beyond traditional courts and clinics through MILO® HomeCourt, its free online basketball training platform designed to make sports more inclusive for the next generation.

The initiative took center stage during the recent Philippine Sportswriters Association Forum, where MILO® highlighted how innovation and accessibility are helping bring quality sports training closer to more young Filipinos—whether on-ground or online.

Developed in partnership with BEST Center, MILO® HomeCourt brings structured basketball training directly into Filipino homes using BEST Center’s scientific and systematic approach to athlete development. The free online platform was created to help bridge accessibility gaps for families who may not always have the opportunity to attend physical sports clinics due to location, schedule, or other limitations.

For MILO®, the initiative represents more than just digital innovation. It is a reflection of the brand’s continuing effort to ensure that every child has the opportunity to begin their sports journey regardless of circumstance.

“Innovation becomes more meaningful when it creates inclusion,” said Carlo Sampan, Head of MILO Sports. “HomeCourt was developed to help more children experience the benefits of sports by making quality basketball training more accessible for Filipino families. We want every child to feel that there is a space for them to learn, grow, and become active through sports.”

For decades, MILO® has remained at the forefront of grassroots sports development in the Philippines through its nationwide sports clinics and youth programs, helping generations of Filipino athletes discover not only their athletic potential but also life values that extend beyond competition.

Beyond developing physical skills, MILO® programs continue to emphasize discipline, teamwork, resilience, grit, and fair play; values that young athletes carry with them both on and off the court.

“We have always believed that sports can shape character in powerful ways,” Sampan added. “At MILO®, our goal has never been limited to forming athletes alone. We want to help build confidence, perseverance, and the mindset that young people can carry into everyday life.”

As part of its broader grassroots sports initiatives, the brand continues to scale its nationwide efforts to bring sports closer to more communities across the country. With a goal of energizing over 3 million children through both on-ground and digital sports programs nationwide, MILO® continues to strengthen its mission of ensuring that no child is left behind when it comes to opportunities in sports.

As lifestyles continue to evolve, MILO® sees digital platforms such as HomeCourt as complementary to its on-ground sports initiatives, creating more opportunities for children to stay active and engaged while learning foundational sports skills at their own pace.

Following positive feedback from parents and participants, the brand also shared that it is exploring opportunities to expand HomeCourt into additional sports disciplines such as volleyball and tennis in the future.

The initiative also reflects MILO®’s broader collective effort through the years, working alongside trusted partners, coaches, schools, communities, and organizations to continuously strengthen grassroots sports development in the country and support future generations of Filipino athletes.

As preparations continue for future competitions such as the 2026 Palarong Pambansa, MILO® remains committed to creating accessible, values-driven programs that help young athletes build strong foundations through structured, professional-level skills development both on and off the court.

Through initiatives like HomeCourt and the continuing movement behind #myMILOStory, the brand hopes to inspire more Filipinos to recognize that every champion’s journey starts somewhere—whether on a court, in a community, or at home.

With HomeCourt now accessible online, MILO® brings every parent and child’s dream of starting a journey in sports and sportsmanship just a tap away. As the brand continues to work alongside schools, coaches, communities, and partners nationwide, MILO® reinforces the belief that it truly takes a village to help raise future champions and that great things start from small beginnings.
